For National Arts Festival Bookings, O-Week Bookings and Graduation Week Bookings,  on which we concentrate,  a 50% deposit is required on booking in order to hold the booking.   Then the balance will be due 60 day prior to arrival.    As regards cancellations for our self catering private houses, that is possible up to 60 days prior to arrival on payment of a R570.00 administrative fee.  Cancellations within the 60 day period will only be possible if the house can be refilled for the same period and at the same cost, and then a R1710.00 administrative fee will be payable.   Cancellation fees apply for bed and breakfasts, guest houses and hotels booked and they all have their own rulings on the matter which would apply to the specific booking but furthermore our commission earned for work done will not be refunded under any circumstance.

An Indemnity Form will need to be completed for each stay at the private accommodation on behalf of yourself and other members of your group. Please assist by having your contact information as well as your ID copy available for us.  The wording on the form is as follows :

Whilst every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of our guests and their possessions on the premises, the owners and agents of this establishment cannot be held liable for any loss or damage sustained by whatever cause.”

A breakage deposit of R950.00 per stay will also be required and normally will be refunded shortly after your stay as long as no damages have been reported by the hosts concerned.

The accommodation we sell over the peak times in Grahamstown,  as indicated above,  is often "NON-OFFICIAL ACCOMMODATION"  ( non-graded ) and  is done in good faith.   We will use our best expertise to try and match the booking request with the desired accommodation available on offer.   We  make it very clear how the accommodation looks and once the deposit is paid, respective guests are welcome to liaise with the various hosts to establish that the establishment as sold will indeed be suitable for them.   Therefore, under no circumstances, whatsoever, will any guests be permitted to change their bookings on arrival in Grahamstown to alternative accommodation as they find "fault" with the accommodation sold, unless this is done totally at their own expense.

We act as a travel agent in our capacity of selling accommodation - hence should any faults be found with the accommodation booked they must be addressed with the hosts directly.
