Owen and Jo-Anne Hilliar would like to invite you to enjoy their beautiful home with them. They connect with their guests in a tranquil setting providing personalised escapes for those in need of a break from the bustle of their busy schedules. Hillscapes sleeps a maximum of six guests in three luxury en suite double rooms. The Hilliars will host you in their beautiful home, share meals with you and provide access to the wonderful leisure activities that the environs of Port Alfred and the Eastern Cape afford. A few days in this setting is a reboot on body, mind and soul.
This is what I love about this place .. its like coming home to be pampered from the moment you set foot into the house. You want companionship ? -- here you get it but its not overbearing. Sharing meals with the family is just wonderful -- and you'll be asked what would you like for dinner and it appears when you're ready to eat... Should you wish to relax there have a huge library of books that you can dig your nose into.
The living areas are amazing, such a delightful place to just relax with of course the most spectacular expanse of sea view imaginable and between the house and the sea is a natural coastal forest -- so you can imagine what the bird life is like -- well its prolific ! Then, the garden is a delight as well as Jo-Anne is a landscape designer -- so you breath will be taken away by this not your common type of garden layout...
The Hilliar's are happy to be your tour guide showing you around the area but what I like is the most of the activities is the boat cruise 22km up the Kowie River to Horseshoe Bend on their own boat. Guaranteed, this your best way to see the Kowie River and they can certainly also assist you with some fishing if you want to catch your supper...
Rates are from R1200.00 per person sharing bed and breakfast ... well worth every penny for what you get.
